Youth Workforce Development Initiative

Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity (GSHFH) connects the next generation through real-world work experience. By working in partnership with youth-based organizations and workforce development agencies, GSHFH is able to provide local students with job experience, whether it be on a build site or in the office learning marketing.

In December 2024, three GSHFH marketing interns launched "Bean Boutique," an iced-coffee business in their school, Chicopee's Springdale Education Center and neighboring Center for School Crisis Intervention & Assessment. Bean Boutique's main function is to raise funds for Greater Springfield Habitat. To date, the iced-coffee endeavor has donated roughly $1,200. In summer 2025, the marketing interns have been challenged to raise at least $1,500 to earn a matching State Farm Youth grant. To learn more about their efforts or make a donation, see buttons below.
