The Project:

in-content.pngTwo Springfield non-profits join together to help beautify a historical landmark – the Forest Park Zoo!

The Zoo suffered many weather-related losses and damage last year. The finishing touches are being completed as part of that recovery effort and Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity lends a hand to our animal neighbors.

This is a great opportunity to get an inside look at the Zoo and meet the staff and animals. The project we will tackle includes cleaning and painting outbuildings throughout the Zoo. Volunteers will work from 8:30am to 3pm and then all are invited to stay for an Appreciation Picnic in the Zoo's center green at 3pm.

Thank you to all the volunteers who have signed up already, we now have enough volunteers at the moment. As always thank you for your interest in Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity. If you are interested in learning about other volunteer opportunities please click here.
