Greater Springfield Habitat Day at Holyoke Blue Sox McKenzie Stadium Holyoke

Summer is here and we are proud to announce a brand new Habitat partnership with America’s favorite pastime – baseball! Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity and Holyoke Blue Sox baseball are teaming up to provide the dream of home ownership to low income families and you can be a “major league player!” July 1, 2011, is Greater Springfield Habitat For Humanity Day at McKenzie Field, Holyoke and we are “recruiting team players” to sponsor an inning as the Holyoke Blue Sox take on the North Adams Steeplecats. This is your chance to step up to the plate and be a home run hero for housing.

Your business or organization will be announced at the beginning of the inning of your choice. Pledge $100 for every run made by the Holyoke Blue Sox in that inning. If the Sox make one run, you donate $100, two runs $200. It’s that easy! If no runs are made, you just received free advertising at the game, courtesy of Holyoke Blue Sox and Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity. You will receive two free tickets to the game for every inning sponsored. Not a business owner? Get creative! Deliver that “Happy Birthday message” in a unique and helpful way! Got a boss or colleague who is reaching the big “40” or “50”? Join with your friends in announcing it to all the fans. Perhaps your church would like to extend its message to the attendees. You can use this opportunity to honor those special employees for their dedication and invite them to the game to hear it.

As an added bonus, Holyoke Blue Sox Baseball will match every sponsored first run in an inning on Greater Springfield Habitat Day. So be a part of a winning team and support Greater Springfield Habitat. All proceeds from this promotion benefit GSHFH Holyoke Circle of Faith Build on Chestnut St. Holyoke, which begins construction in mid June. Meet our Chestnut St. partner family, the Sheppards, as they throw out the first ball. Come hear the national anthem sung by GSHFH, executive director Jenn Schimmel, and be a part of all the fun on GSHFH Day!

Use the attached sheet to register your sponsorship and mail or fax back to us. For more information on this special event, contact Carol Pirog, Director of Development at Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity at 413-739-5503.
