2011 Global Village Trip to sister affiliate Habitat Guatemala

Habitat Guatemala will celebrate the completion of 35,000 houses on November 13, 2011 and Greater Springfield Habitat For Humanity will be there to help celebrate as well as complete the building of the final 10 homes.

Three staff members and nine volunteers from Greater Springfield area will be traveling to Jutiapa, Guatemala to work with local families in need of simple, decent affordable housing. This trip is the first Global Village trip the affiliate has organized; however, we hope it is the first of many.

About the Global Village Program!

Global Village supports the mission of Habitat for Humanity by working in partnership, providing cross-cultural experiences, mobilizing volunteers, building sustainable relationships and generating resources in the hope of creating long-term advocates of affordable housing world wide.
