Tornado Update
June 03, 2011 at 9:33 AM
We are extremely lucky, the storm hit all around us (in our parking lot to be exact.) All staff are fine(we took cover office basement.) We've been contacting all families assess any damage. All responses so far - everyone is doing well. One board member sustained some damage to their home - his family is safe.
We are actively researching ways we can mobilize volunteers to support recovery efforts here in Western Mass, as we know more, we'll be reaching out to you.
Thank you for the outpouring of love and support.

Thank you for your interest in getting involved in long-term tornado recovery efforts. I would suggest that you sign up as a volunteer through our website, so that you are included in our email list, which we use to notify our supporters of upcoming volunteer opportunities. You can do this by going to the volunteer page of our website and clicking on the "Volunteer UP" icon on the side of the page. Once you register, you will have access to our events calendar, which lists upcoming volunteer opportunities. You can sign up directly online, or contact the office for more information.
Thanks for your support!

I am the Director of Student Activities at STCC. Our Student Government students are interested in helping to rebuild in the areas of those effected by the tornado. Can you let me know how we can help and what we need to do to get involved. This community is very important to our students since they are mostly from the Greater Springfield Area and they are looking for a way to syupport the victims and their families. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss what STCC students can do to help locally.
THANK YOU!
Andrea
