19 Gunn Square

Since March, Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity and the Western Mass. Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans have worked together to renovate this home at 19 Gunn Square Springfield, for the Justiniano- Ruiz family. This is the fourth time Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity has partnered with the local Thrivent chapter to build a home for a local family in need. The Habitat/Thrivent relationship has been a source of pride for both organizations for many years.

Marta Ruiz and Jose Justiniano have been raising their two children, Joseph, 6, and Jaylynn, 4, in the Springfield area for the last three years. “This is a dream come true,” said Marta. “We feel abundantly blessed and excited to have a new home. We look forward to seeing the kids playing in the backyard and to family gatherings in the summer. We are looking forward to making new memories in our new home. We are grateful to Habitat and to Thrivent for making this humble family's dream come true.”
